The opportunity cost is the return expected from the second best use of the resources, which is foregone for the availing gains from the best use of the resources.<br /><br />For example: Mr. A earns Income of Rs.10,000/- P.M. and he may get the Income of Rs. 12,000/- and Rs 15,000/- at different places Then he will sacrifice the income of 12,000/- for getting the income of Rs.15,000/- is called opportunity cost. <br /><br />Note: Opportunity cost is associated with the concept of economic rent or economic profit. <br /><span style="font-weight:bold;"><br />Q. Explain the term Business Cost?</span><br /><br />Ans. Business cost is also known as actual cost or real cost which means when all the expenses incurred by a business firm. <br /><span style="font-weight:bold;"><br />Q. Explain Full Cost?</span><br /><br />Ans. Full cost is a combination of opportunity cost and normal profit.<br /><br />Opportunity Cost: Expected earning from the next best use of the resources.<br /><br />Normal Profit: It is a necessary minimum earning which a firm must get to remain in its present occupation.<br /><br />For example: If a business firm incurred the cost of Rs. 100 in the form of fixed cost so it is necessary for it to earn at least Rs.100 in the business to remain in its occupation. <br /><span style="font-weight:bold;"><br />Q. Explain Total Cost?</span><br /><br />Ans. Total cost is a combination of total variable cost and total fixed cost. Explain variable costs?</span><br /><br />Ans. Variable costs refers to the cost which varies/change which the changing level of production.
